In this episode, Brian and Greg are covering a case from Blackwell, Oklahoma where police officer Lieutenant John Mitchell was indicted for second-degree murder after shooting and killing an armed, active shooter.
Given the facts of the case, it was difficult for Brian to understand how a police officer can be charged with murder after killing a violent, fleeing felon who was also shooting at the police. As always, we try to dissect these cases through the lens of cognitive performance.
